Project: Each corner is a different world.

1. How was this project born: from which needs? To answer which question?
We needed to do this to bring the school’s corridors for socialization because of the lack of physical areas in our school, the lack of horticulture, the lack of conference room, and the lack of spectatorship. We try to find answer for “How can we find more free space for our students?”

2. What is in your opinion innovative on this project?
While the study is being carried out, it reflects the originality of studying aspects of arts, sports, science activities belonging to different cultures to the students at the same time to ensure that students participate in these activities.

3. Which are in your opinion the ICT competencies of adolescents that are important for your project? And how are they valorised through your project?
Most of our students are using technology only for communication and playing games, with this project they start to use it for their resources and for their lessons.

4. What did your discover through the project that you didn’t expect or imagine?
As a result of the studies done, it was observed that the course success and interest were increased with the help of oral culture and games. According to the questionnaire, pre – test and post – test analyzes, the belonging to the school and academic achievement increased by 60%.

5. What is the link between your project, media competencies and active citizenship?
In this project, students are using corridor’s for working their researching works with their computers. Teachers are giving researching works to all students and they should prepare them between lessons during their free times, by this way they are working with their friends together.
EXPERIENCE REPORTING

1. What happens during activities? Which working steps are asked from the students?
The students has different tasks for each week. Usually they work as a peer. The teachers gives task to them for weekly periods. Between lessons they are searching and working their tasks with their colleagues and they prepare presentations.

2. Which methodologies do you use?
Survey and face-to-face interview methods were used in order to identify the problem within the scope of the study. Working with groups, brainstorming, exhibitions and demonstration methods have been used for eliminating deficiencies and finding a probing solution.

5. Which project choices do you consider strategic?
The most important thing is that they search and work with the subjects wish they want . they discuss this with their teachers and they decide together.

6. How do you arouse curiosity in the teenagers?
They wants to learn their friends’ work before their presentations. They always try to improve their digital skills, they think this is an competition by this way they adapted better.

7. What do they learn?
It is aimed to improve the social aspects of the students and to make these areas fun educational activities by creating corner ways in the school. It aims to bring the scientific, artistic and sports aspects of the students to the foreground, to raise awareness of different cultures, to increase the students’ sense of belonging to the students and to minimize their negative attitudes and behaviors.

8. Which competences are developed and enhanced?
To increase the technology usage rates, to make the use of technology lessons more effective and to expand their imagination.

9. Which are expected results and those effectively attained?
The unity, solidarity and communication between students, teachers, school personnel and parents are strengthened. The interest of the parents has increased, and due to this increased interest, the students in the school have adopted more, have adopted, and the absenteeism rate has dropped to 25% den 18%.
10)How do you evaluate this experience? Do you evaluate it at all?
We prepared questionare for the students. And we ask their experiences with this way end of the school year.
11)When things don’t work out, how do you readapt activities?
Most of the students wants to join the project because this is like a game for them and they already motivated. So we don’t need to readapt them.
